Client: PPG Metro LTD
Project Value: £26m
Acies designed an eleven-storey office development for PPG Metro Ltd, which is situated in Glasgow’s city centre.
The structure comprises a braced structural steel frame incorporating large span cellular floor beams, which create column free floor space and provide flexibility. The cellular beams also allow a reduced floor-to-floor height by incorporating the building services within the same floor zone as the structure.
The basement car parking has been formed by the construction of reinforced concrete retaining walls in front of a temporary steel sheet pile cantilever wall.
